















ひろしま国際建築祭2025に行ってきました。会場は広島県東部の尾道と福山で、広島駅から新幹線で20分くらいです。次回は2028年とのことです。1泊2日以上がよいかと。
建築は

・神勝寺 洸庭 : 名和 晃平
・尾道市立美術館 : 安藤 忠雄
・LOG : スタジオ・ムンバイ
新勝寺は福山駅からバスで30分くらいで、敷地も広大です。庭園も見応えありますのでお時間をしっかり取っていかれるとよろしいかと。洸庭のインスタレーションも時間が決まっているのでお気を付け下さい。
芸術祭とは少し異なり、建築そのものに光を当てたイベントです。展示物は広島に関するものに限定せず、日本の建築活動の解説や建築家の活動を紹介するものでした。
LOGに用いられた色は、改修時にでた瓦礫を砕いてふるいにかけた物を顔料と漆喰に練り合わせたものだそうです。丁寧に誠実に改修されていて、こうありたい、と思いました。
このエリアの文化レベルはとても高く、まちの見応えがありますので、2028年はぜひ。
I visited the Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition 2025.The venues were located in Onomichi and Fukuyama, in the eastern part of Hiroshima Prefecture, about 20 minutes from Hiroshima Station by Shinkansen.The next festival is scheduled for 2028. I would recommend staying for at least two days and one night to fully enjoy the event.

Shinshoji is located about 30 minutes from Fukuyama Station by bus, and the grounds are quite extensive. The gardens are also well worth seeing, so I would recommend allowing plenty of time for your visit. Please also note that the installation at Kohtei is shown at scheduled times.
Unlike a typical art festival, this event focused on architecture itself. The exhibits were not limited to projects related to Hiroshima, but rather introduced architectural activities throughout Japan and highlighted the work of various architects.
I learned that the colors used in LOG were created by crushing and sieving debris generated during the renovation, then mixing the resulting pigment with plaster. The renovation was carried out with great care and sincerity, and it made me think, “This is how architecture should be.”
The cultural level of this region is remarkably high, and the towns themselves are fascinating to explore. If the festival is held again in 2028, I highly recommend visiting.
